Musnad Ahmad 652:40

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Dharr, from Yusi' al-Kindi, from Nu'man ibn Bashir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Verily, supplication is worship." Then he recited: "And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.' Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible." [Ghafir: 60] Abu Abd al-Rahman said: "Yusi' al-Kindi is Yusi' ibn Ma'dan."
