Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and Hashim narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn al-Muntashir, from his father—Hashim said in his narration: I heard my father narrating from Habib ibn Salim, from al-Nu‘man ibn Bashir, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite in Jumu‘ah—Hashim said: in the Jumu‘ah prayer on the day of Jumu‘ah—'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High' (Surah Al-A‘la) and 'Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [Event]?' (Surah Al-Ghashiyah). And sometimes two Eids would coincide, so he would recite them both."
