Musnad Ahmad 1173:8

Hassan narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn 'Ajlan narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil ibn Abi Talib, from Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh ibn 'Afra': "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution in her presence. I saw him wipe his head along the paths of the hair, what came forward of it and what went backward, and he wiped his temples and his ears, their outer parts and their inner parts."
