Narrated to us by Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Muhammad ibn Qays, from al-Sa’ib ibn ‘Abd Allah, who said: I came to the Prophet (ﷺ), and they began to praise me and mention my good qualities. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I know him better than you." I said: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! You were my partner in the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah), and you were the best of partners; you would neither dispute nor argue."
