Musnad Ahmad 932:10

Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, Ubayd Allah ibn Amr narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: While we were in rows behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) during the Dhuhr or Asr prayer, we saw him reach out for something in front of him while he was in prayer to take it, then he reached out to take it, then it was obstructed between him and it. Then he stepped back and we stepped back, then he stepped back a second time and we stepped back. When he finished the prayer, Ubayy ibn Ka’b said: "O Messenger of Allah, we saw you do something today in your prayer that you were not accustomed to doing." He said: "Paradise was presented to me with all its splendor, so I reached for a cluster of its grapes to bring it to you. Had I taken it, those between the heaven and the earth would have eaten from it without it diminishing. But it was obstructed between me and it. And the Fire was presented to me, and when I felt the heat of its rays, I stepped back. The majority of those I saw in it were women who, if they were entrusted, they would disclose secrets, and if they asked, they would be importunate." Zakariya ibn Adi said: "They would be importunate (alhafna), and if they were given, they would not be grateful." He continued: "And I saw in it Luhay ibn Amr dragging his intestines, and the person I saw who most resembled him was Ma’bad ibn Aktham." Ma’bad said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there fear for me because of his resemblance, for he is my father?" He said: "No, you are a believer and he is a disbeliever, and he is the first one who gathered the Arabs upon the idols."
