Musnad Ahmad 932:4

Abdullah narrated to us, Sa’id ibn al-Ash’ath ibn Sa’id al-Samman ibn Abi al-Rabi’ narrated to us, Sa’id ibn Salamah—meaning ibn Abi al-Husam—informed us, Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Aqil narrated to us, from al-Tufayl ibn Ubayy ibn Ka’b, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "My likeness among the prophets is like the likeness of a man who built a house, and he made it good, and he made it beautiful, and he made it complete, but he left out the place of one brick which he did not place. So people began to walk around the structure, and they were amazed, and they said: 'If only the place of this brick were completed.'"
