Hadith 146:1
Sakan ibn Nafi' narrated to us, Salih ibn Abi al-Akhdar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, who said: Abdullah ibn Amir ibn Rabi'ah informed me that his father informed him that he "saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, praying the voluntary prayer at night while traveling, upon the back of his riding beast, in whatever direction it faced him."
