Hadith 146:8
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah and Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: I heard Shu‘bah, from ‘Asim ibn ‘Ubayd Allah, he said: I heard ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir narrating from his father, that a man married a woman for a pair of sandals. He said: So she came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "That is what he gave me." He said: "Are you satisfied with a pair of sandals for yourself and your dowry?" She said: "Yes." Shu‘bah said: So I said to him, "It is as if he permitted that." He said: "It is as if he permitted it." Shu‘bah said: Then I met him, and he said: "Are you satisfied with a pair of sandals for yourself and your dowry?" She said: "I saw that." He said: "And I see that."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، وحجاج، قال: سمعت شعبة، عن عاصم بن عبيد الله، قال: سمعت عبد الله بن عامر، يحدث عن أبيه، أن رجلا تزوج امرأة على نعلين، قال: فأتت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقالت : ذاك له فقال: " أرضيت من نفسك ومالك بنعلين؟ " قالت: نعم قال شعبة : فقلت له: كأنه أجاز ذلك، قال: كأنه أجازه، قال شعبة: ثم لقيته، فقال: " أرضيت من نفسك ومالك بنعلين " فقالت: رأيت ذاك، فقال: " وأنا أرى ذاك "
