Hadith 688:1
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from 'Ubayd Allah, who said: Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id narrated to me, from 'Umar ibn Abi Bakr ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith, from his father, that 'Ammar prayed two rak'ahs. 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith said to him: "O Abu al-Yaqzan, I see that you have made them light." He said: "Did I omit anything from their limits?" He said: "No, but you made them light." He said: "I hastened through them to avoid forgetfulness. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Indeed, a man may pray, and perhaps he will have nothing of his prayer except a tenth of it, or a ninth of it, or an eighth of it, or a seventh of it,'" until he reached the end of the count.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن عبيد الله، قال: حدثني سعيد بن أبي سعيد، عن عمر بن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث، عن أبيه، أن عمارا، صلى ركعتين، فقال له عبد الرحمن بن الحارث: يا أبا اليقظان، لا أراك إلا قد خففتهما، قال: هل نقصت من حدودها شيئا؟ قال: لا، ولكن خففتهما قال: إني بادرت بهما السهو، إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " إن الرجل ليصلي، ولعله أن لا يكون له من صلاته إلا عشرها، وتسعها، أو ثمنها، أو سبعها " حتى انتهى إلى آخر العدد
