Hadith 688:10
Hajjaj narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn Utbah, from Ammar ibn Yasir Abu al-Yaqzan, who said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and a necklace of Aisha’s was lost. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed [there] until the dawn broke. Abu Bakr became angry with Aisha, then the concession regarding wiping with clean earth (tayammum) was revealed to them." So Abu Bakr entered upon her and said: "You are indeed blessed; a concession has been revealed to us regarding you." Then we struck our hands upon our faces, and we struck our hands with one strike up to the shoulders and the armpits.
حدثنا حجاج، حدثنا ابن أبي ذئب، عن الزهري ، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة، عن عمار بن ياسر أبي اليقظان، قال: " كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فهلك عقد لعائشة، فأقام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى أضاء الفجر، فتغيظ أبو بكر على عائشة، فنزلت عليهم الرخصة في المسح بالصعدات "، فدخل عليها أبو بكر فقال: إنك لمباركة، لقد نزل علينا فيك رخصة، فضربنا بأيدينا لوجوهنا، وضربنا بأيدينا ضربة إلى المناكب والآباط
