Hadith 688:12
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, and Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, 'Umar ibn 'Ata' ibn Abi al-Khuwar informed me that he heard Yahya ibn Ya'mar informing about a man who informed him, from 'Ammar ibn Yasir—'Umar claimed that Yahya had named that man, but 'Umar forgot it—that 'Ammar said: I applied *khuluq* (a type of perfume containing saffron), then I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He rebuked me and said: "Go, O son of Umm 'Ammar, and wash it off from yourself." So I returned and washed it off from myself. He said: Then I returned to him, and he rebuked me again. He said: "Return and wash it off from yourself." He mentioned three times.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا ابن جريج، وروح، حدثنا ابن جريج، أخبرني عمر بن عطاء بن أبي الخوار، أنه سمع يحيى بن يعمر، يخبر عن رجل، أخبره، عن عمار بن ياسر، زعم عمر أن يحيى قد سمى ذلك الرجل، ونسيه عمر:، أن عمارا قال: تخلقت خلوقا، فجئت إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فانتهرني، وقال: " اذهب يا ابن أم عمار فاغسل عنك "، فرجعت فغسلت عني، قال: ثم رجعت إليه، فانتهرني أيضا قال: " ارجع فاغسل عنك " فذكر ثلاث مرات
