Hadith 688:7
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah and Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Shu‘bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Abu Nadrah. Hajjaj said: I heard Abu Nadrah from Qays ibn ‘Abbad, he said: I said to ‘Ammar: "Have you considered your fighting—is it an opinion you have formed?" Hajjaj said: "Have you considered this matter—meaning their fighting—is it an opinion you have formed? For an opinion may be wrong or right, or is it a covenant that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, made with you?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not make a covenant with us regarding anything that he did not make a covenant with all the people regarding." And he said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: 'Indeed, in my nation...'" Shu‘bah said: "And I think he said: Hudhayfah narrated to me: '...there are twelve hypocrites.'" He said: "They will not enter Paradise, nor will they find its scent, until the camel enters into the eye of the needle. Eight of them will be dealt with for you by the *dubaylah*—a flame of fire that appears between their shoulder blades until it emerges in their chests."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة، وحجاج، قال: حدثني شعبة، قال: سمعت قتادة يحدث، عن أبي نضرة، قال حجاج: سمعت أبا نضرة، عن قيس بن عباد قال: قلت لعمار: أرأيت قتالكم رأيا رأيتموه. قال حجاج: أرأيت هذا الأمر، يعني قتالهم، رأيا رأيتموه؟ فإن الرأي يخطئ ويصيب، أو عهدا عهده إليكم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ فقال ما عهد إلينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، شيئا لم يعهده إلى الناس كافة، وقال إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إن في أمتي " قال شعبة: وأحسبه قال: حدثني حذيفة: " إن في أمتي اثني عشر منافقا ". فقال: " لا يدخلون الجنة، ولا يجدون ريحها حتى يلج الجمل في سم الخياط، ثمانية منهم تكفيكهم الدبيلة، سراج من نار يظهر في أكتافهم حتى ينجم في صدورهم "
