Musnad Ahmad 782:13

Al-Hakam ibn Nafi' narrated to us, Ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Ubayd Allah, from Humayd ibn 'Uqbah, from Shurahbil ibn al-Simt, from 'Amr ibn 'Abasah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: "Whoever fights in the way of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, for the duration of the milking of a she-camel, Allah will forbid the Fire to his face." Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, Safwan ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Shurayh ibn 'Ubayd narrated to me, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'A'idh al-Azdi, from 'Amr ibn 'Abasah al-Sulami, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was inspecting horses one day, and 'Uyaynah ibn Hisn ibn Badr al-Fazari was with him. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to him: "I am more expert with horses than you." 'Uyaynah said: "And I am more expert with men than you." The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to him: "And how is that?" He said: "The best of men are men who carry their swords upon their shoulders, placing their spears upon the backs of their horses, wearing cloaks, from the people of Najd." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "You have lied. Rather, the best of men are the men of the people of Yemen. Faith is Yemeni up to Lakhm, Judham, and 'Amilah. The consumed of Himyar are better than those who consume them. Hadramawt is better than Banu al-Harith. A tribe is better than a tribe, and a tribe is worse than a tribe. By Allah, I would not care if both of the Hariths perished. May Allah curse the four kings: Jamd, Makhwas, Musharrah, and Abda'ah, and their sister al-'Amardah." Then he said: "My Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, commanded me to curse Quraysh twice, so I cursed them, and He commanded me to pray for them twice, so I prayed for them twice." Then he said: "'Usayyah disobeyed Allah and His Messenger, other than Qays, Ja'dah, and 'Usayyah." Then he said: "Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaynah, and those mixed with them from Juhaynah are better in the sight of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection than Banu Asad, Tamim, Ghatafan, and Hawazin." Then he said: "The worst two tribes among the Arabs are Najran and Banu Taghlib, and the most numerous of the tribes in Paradise is Madhhij." Abu al-Mughirah said: Safwan said: "Himyar, Himyar are better than those who consume them." He said: "Those who have passed are better than those who remain."
