Hadith 782:17
Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Yazid ibn Jabir narrated to us, from a man, from 'Amr ibn 'Abasah, who said: While the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was inspecting horses, and 'Uyaynah ibn Hisn ibn Hudhayfah ibn Badr al-Fazari was with him, he said to 'Uyaynah: "I am more insightful regarding horses than you." 'Uyaynah said: "And I am more insightful regarding men than you." He said: "How is that?" He said: "The best of men are those who place their swords upon their shoulders and lay their spears across the backs of their horses, from the people of Najd." He said: "You have lied. The best of men are the men of the people of Yemen. Faith is Yemeni, and I am Yemeni. And the most numerous of the tribes in Paradise on the Day of Resurrection will be Madhhij." "And Hadramawt is better than Banu al-Harith. And I do not care if both tribes perish; there is no authority and no king except Allah, the Almighty and Majestic. May Allah curse the four kings: Jamd, Mashrakh, Makhwas, and Abda'ah, and their sister al-'Amradah."
حدثنا حسن بن موسى، حدثنا زهير بن معاوية، حدثنا يزيد بن يزيد بن جابر، عن رجل، عن عمرو بن عبسة قال: بينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يعرض خيلا، وعنده عيينة بن حصن بن حذيفة بن بدر الفزاري، فقال لعيينة: " أنا أبصر بالخيل منك " فقال عيينة: وأنا أبصر بالرجال منك. قال: " فكيف ذاك؟ " قال: خيار الرجال الذين يضعون أسيافهم على عواتقهم، ويعرضون رماحهم على مناسج خيولهم من أهل نجد قال: " كذبت خيار الرجال رجال أهل اليمن والإيمان يمان، وأنا يمان، وأكثر القبائل يوم القيامة في الجنة مذحج وحضرموت خير من بني الحارث وما أبالي أن يهلك الحيان كلاهما، فلا قيل ولا ملك إلا الله عز وجل، لعن الله الملوك الأربعة: جمدا، ومشرخا، ومخوسا وأبضعة، وأختهم العمردة "
