Hadith 782:8
Amr ibn Abasah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "Any man who shoots an arrow in the way of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, whether it hits or misses, he has the reward of a slave he has emancipated from the children of Ishmael. Any man who grows gray hair in the way of Allah, it is a light for him. Any Muslim man who emancipates a Muslim man, every limb of the emancipated one is a ransom for him from the Fire, limb for limb. Any Muslim woman who emancipates a Muslim woman, every limb of the emancipated one is a ransom for her from the Fire, limb for limb. Any Muslim man who offers to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, three of his offspring who have not reached the age of puberty, or a woman who does so, they are a shield for him from the Fire. Any man who stands to perform ablution, intending to pray, and completes the ablution to its proper places, he is cleared of every sin or error he committed. If he then stands for prayer, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, raises him a degree by it, and if he sits, he sits in a state of safety." Shurahbil ibn as-Simt said: "Did you hear this hadith from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, O son of Abasah?" He said: "Yes, by the One besides whom there is no god, if I had not heard this hadith from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, except once, or twice, or three, or four, or five, or six, or seven—and he stopped at seven—I would not have sworn, meaning I would not have cared, not to narrate it to anyone among the people. But by Allah, I do not know the number of times I heard it from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
وقال عمرو بن عبسة سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " أيما رجل رمى بسهم في سبيل الله عز وجل، فبلغ مخطئا، أو مصيبا، فله من الأجر كرقبة يعتقها من ولد إسماعيل، وأيما رجل شاب شيبة في سبيل الله، فهي له نور، وأيما رجل مسلم أعتق رجلا مسلما، فكل عضو من المعتق بعضو من المعتق فداء له من النار، وأيما امرأة مسلمة أعتقت امرأة مسلمة فكل عضو من المعتقة بعضو من المعتقة فداء لها من النار، وأيما رجل مسلم قدم لله عز وجل من صلبه ثلاثة لم يبلغوا الحنث، أو امرأة، فهم له سترة من النار، وأيما رجل قام إلى وضوء يريد الصلاة، فأحصى الوضوء إلى أماكنه، سلم من كل ذنب أو خطيئة له، فإن قام إلى الصلاة، رفعه الله عز وجل بها درجة، وإن قعد، قعد سالما ". فقال شرحبيل بن السمط: آنت سمعت هذا الحديث من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يا ابن عبسة؟ قال: " نعم والذي لا إله إلا هو لو أني لم أسمع هذا الحديث من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم غير مرة أو مرتين أو ثلاث أو أربع أو خمس أو ست أو سبع، فانتهى عند سبع، ما حلفت، يعني ما باليت، أن لا أحدث به أحدا من الناس، ولكني والله ما أدري عدد ما سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم "
