Hadith 782:9
Haywah ibn Shurayh narrated to us, Baqiyyah narrated to us, Buhayr ibn Sa’d narrated to us, from Khalid ibn Ma’dan, from Kathir ibn Murrah, from ‘Amr ibn ‘Abasah, that he narrated to them that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, in which Allah the Mighty and Majestic is remembered, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise. And whoever frees a Muslim soul, it will be his ransom from Hellfire. And whoever grows a gray hair in the cause of Allah the Mighty and Majestic, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا حيوة بن شريح، حدثنا بقية، حدثنا بحير بن سعد، عن خالد بن معدان، عن كثير بن مرة، عن عمرو بن عبسة، أنه حدثهم، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من بنى لله مسجدا ليذكر الله عز وجل فيه، بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة، ومن أعتق نفسا مسلمة كانت فديته من جهنم، ومن شاب شيبة في سبيل الله عز وجل، كانت له نورا يوم القيامة "
