Hadith 455:9
Rawh narrated to us, he said: Hisham bin Abi Abdullah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Salim bin Abi al-Ja’d, from Ma’dan bin Abi Talhah, from Abu Najih al-Sulami, who said: We besieged the fortress of Ta’if with the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "Whoever reaches [the enemy] with an arrow, he has a degree in Paradise." He said: "So I reached [them] that day with sixteen arrows." Then I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "Whoever shoots an arrow in the way of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, it is equivalent to freeing a slave. And whoever grows a grey hair in the way of Allah, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection. And any Muslim man who frees a Muslim man, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, will make the compensation for every bone of his bones a bone of the bones of his liberator from the Fire. And any Muslim woman who frees a Muslim woman, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, will make the compensation for every bone of her bones a bone of the bones of her liberator from the Fire."
حدثنا روح، قال: حدثنا هشام بن أبي عبد الله، عن قتادة، عن سالم بن أبي الجعد، عن معدان بن أبي طلحة، عن أبي نجيح السلمي، قال: حاصرنا مع نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حصن الطائف، فسمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من بلغ بسهم فله درجة في الجنة " قال: " فبلغت يومئذ ستة عشر سهما " فسمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من رمى بسهم في سبيل الله عز وجل فهو عدل محرر، ومن شاب شيبة في سبيل الله كانت له نورا يوم القيامة، وأيما رجل مسلم أعتق رجلا مسلما فإن الله عز وجل جاعل وفاء كل عظم من عظامه عظما من عظام محرره من النار، وأيما امرأة مسلمة أعتقت امرأة مسلمة، فإن الله عز وجل جاعل وفاء كل عظم من عظامها عظما من عظام محررها من النار "
