Hadith 551:9
'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, he said: Musa—meaning Ibn 'Ali—narrated to us, from his father, who said: I heard 'Amr ibn al-'As saying: "How far is your guidance from the guidance of your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. As for him, he was the most ascetic of people regarding the worldly life, and you are the most desirous of people for it."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، قال: حدثنا موسى يعني ابن علي، عن أبيه، قال: سمعت عمرو بن العاص، يقول: " ما أبعد هديكم من هدي نبيكم صلى الله عليه وسلم، أما هو فكان أزهد الناس في الدنيا، وأنتم أرغب الناس فيها "
