Musnad Ahmad 541:18

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from Ibn Tawus, from Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn 'Amr ibn Hazm, from his father, who said: When 'Ammar ibn Yasir was killed, 'Amr ibn Hazm entered upon 'Amr ibn al-'As and said: "'Ammar has been killed, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'The transgressing party will kill him.'" 'Amr ibn al-'As stood up, alarmed, repeating [the statement] until he entered upon Mu'awiyah. Mu'awiyah said to him: "What is the matter with you?" He said: "'Ammar has been killed." Mu'awiyah said: "'Ammar has been killed, so what?" 'Amr said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'The transgressing party will kill him.'" Mu'awiyah said to him: "You have slipped in your own urine. Did we kill him? It was only 'Ali and his companions who killed him; they brought him until they cast him between our spears—or he said: between our swords."
