Hadith 800:1
Abu Ubaydah Abd al-Wahid ibn Wasil narrated to us, Salm—meaning Ibn Zurayr—and Abu al-Ashhab narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Tarafah, that his grandfather, Arfajah ibn As'ad, had his nose injured during the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah) on the day of al-Kulab. He fashioned a nose out of silver, but it became foul-smelling on him. So, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded him to fashion a nose—meaning, out of gold.
