Musnad Ahmad 1167:56

Ishaq ibn Yusuf narrated to us, he said: 'Awf narrated to us, from Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji, that al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf entered upon Asma bint Abi Bakr after he had killed her son, Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr. He said: "Indeed, your son deviated in this House, and indeed Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, made him taste a painful punishment, and he did to him such and such." She said: "You lied. He was dutiful to his parents, a frequent faster, and a frequent performer of night prayer. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed us: 'There will emerge from Thaqif two liars; the latter of the two is worse than the first, and he is a destroyer (mubir).'"
