Hadith of Asma bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (RA)

Hadith 1167:57

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, he said: Mansur ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from his mother Safiyyah bint Shaybah, from Asma bint Abi Bakr, that she said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was alarmed on the day the sun eclipsed, so he took a garment until he caught up with his cloak. He stood with the people for a long standing; he would stand, then he would bow. If a person had come after the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had bowed, he would not have known that he had bowed; he would not have thought to himself that he had bowed, due to the length of the standing." She said: "I began to look at the woman who was older than me, and at the woman who was more sickly than me, standing, and I was more entitled to be patient with the length of the standing than she was."
