Hadith 1296:5
Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, he said: Yunus—meaning Ibn Yazid al-Ayli—narrated to us, he said: Abu Shaddad narrated to us, from Mujahid, from Asma bint Umays, she said: I was the companion of Aisha, the one who prepared her and brought her in to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and there were women with me. She said: By Allah, we did not find with him any hospitality except a cup of milk. She said: He drank from it, then handed it to Aisha. The young woman felt shy, so we said: "Do not reject the hand of the Messenger of Allah, take it from him." So she took it out of shyness and drank from it. Then he said: "Hand it to your companions." We said: "We do not desire it." He said: "Do not combine hunger and lying." She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if one of us says about something she desires, 'I do not desire it,' is that considered a lie?" He said: "Indeed, the lie is written as a lie, until the little lie is written as a little lie."
