From the Hadith of Asma bint Yazid (RA)
Hadith 1304:19
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Asma' bint Yazid al-Ansariyyah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in my house and he mentioned the Dajjal. He said: "Indeed, before him are three years: in the first year, the sky will withhold a third of its rain, and the earth a third of its vegetation. In the second, the sky will withhold two-thirds of its rain, and the earth two-thirds of its vegetation. In the third, the sky will withhold all of its rain, and the earth all of its vegetation. No animal with teeth or cloven hooves will remain except that it will perish. And indeed, the most severe of his trials is that he will come to a Bedouin and say: 'Do you see, if I bring your camels back to life for you, will you not know that I am your Lord?' He will say: 'Yes.' Then the devils will take the form of his camels, in the best state their udders have ever been and the largest their humps have ever been. He will come to a man whose brother has died and whose father has died, and he will say: 'Do you see, if I bring your father back to life for you and bring your brother back to life for you, will you not know that I am your Lord?' He will say: 'Yes.' Then the devils will take the form of his father and his brother." She said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out for a need of his, then he returned. She said: The people were in concern and distress because of what he had told them. She said: He took hold of the doorposts and said: "What is the matter, Asma'?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, you have torn our hearts with the mention of the Dajjal." He said: "If he emerges while I am alive, then I will be his adversary, and if not, then my Lord is my successor over every believer." Asma' said: "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, we knead our dough, but we do not bake it until we become hungry, so how will it be for the believers on that day?" He said: "It will suffice them what suffices the inhabitants of the heavens: glorification (tasbih) and sanctification (taqdis)."
