Musnad Ahmad 288:20

Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir informed us, he said: Abu al-Ash'ath narrated to me, he said: Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi narrated to me, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, mention Friday, and he said: "Whoever performs *ghusl* (washes his head) or performs *ightisal* (washes his whole body), then goes early and arrives early, and goes out walking and does not ride, then draws near to the Imam, and listens attentively to him and does not engage in idle talk, there is for him the reward of a year, its fasting and its standing (in prayer)." He said: And Yahya ibn al-Harith claimed that he memorized from Abu al-Ash'ath that he said to him: "For every step is the reward of a year, its fasting and its standing (in prayer)." Yahya said: "And I did not hear him say: 'He walked and did not ride.'"
