Musnad Ahmad 755:1

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Sharik and Yazid ibn ‘Ata’ narrated to us, from Yazid—meaning Ibn Abi Ziyad—from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Sabit, from ‘Ayyash ibn Abi Rabi‘ah, who said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "This nation will continue to be in goodness as long as they revere this sanctity with its due reverence. But if they abandon it and neglect it, they will perish." And he said in the hadith of Yazid ibn ‘Ata’: From the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
