Hadith 380:1
'Umar ibn Sa'd Abu Dawud al-Hafari narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Zakariyya—meaning Ibn Abi Za'idah—narrated to us, he said: Sa'd ibn Tariq narrated to me, from Bilal ibn Yahya, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, who said: A Bedouin informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "I do not fear for Quraysh except their own selves." I said: "What is the matter with them?" He said: "They are stingy and greedy. And if your life is prolonged, you will surely see them causing tribulation among the people, until you see the people among them like sheep between two watering troughs, going to this one at times and to this one at times."
حدثنا عمر بن سعد أبو داود الحفري، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا يعني ابن أبي زائدة، قال: حدثني سعد بن طارق، عن بلال بن يحيى، عن عمران بن حصين قال: أخبرني أعرابي، أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " ما أخاف على قريش إلا أنفسها "، قلت: ما لهم؟ قال: " أشحة بجرة، وإن طال بك عمر لتنظرن إليهم يفتنون الناس، حتى ترى الناس بينهم كالغنم بين الحوضين، إلى هذا مرة وإلى هذا مرة "
