Hadith 892:1
Bahz and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Humayd ibn Hilal narrated to us. ‘Affan said in his narration: Abu Qatadah and Abu al-Dahma’ narrated to us—and ‘Affan said: They used to perform Hajj frequently—they said: We came upon a man from the people of the desert. The Bedouin said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took my hand, and he began to teach me from what Allah had taught him. Among what I memorized from him was that he said: "You will not leave anything for the fear of Allah, but that Allah will give you something better than it."
حدثنا بهز، وعفان، قالا: حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة، حدثنا حميد بن هلال، قال عفان في حديثه: حدثنا أبو قتادة، وأبو الدهماء، قال عفان: وكانا يكثران الحج، قالا: أتينا على رجل من أهل البادية، فقال البدوي: أخذ بيدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فجعل يعلمني مما علمه الله، فكان فيما حفظت عنه أن قال: " إنك لن تدع شيئا اتقاء لله، إلا آتاك الله خيرا منه "
