Hadith 1115:11
Abu Sa’id, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Rashid narrated to us, Makhul narrated to us, from Nu’aym ibn Khummar, from Bilal, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Wipe over the leather socks (khuffayn) and the head covering (khimar)."
حدثنا أبو سعيد، مولى بني هاشم، حدثنا محمد بن راشد، حدثنا مكحول، عن نعيم بن خمار، عن بلال، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " امسحوا على الخفين والخمار "
