Hadith 1115:20
Isma'il narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-Ward ibn Thumamah, from 'Amr ibn Mirdas, who said: I came to al-Sham on a journey, and there was a man with thick lips—or he said: large lips—and a large nose, and before him were weapons. People were asking him, and he was saying: "O people, take from these weapons and prepare them, and strive with them in the way of Allah." He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, [said this]. I said: Who is this? They said: Bilal.
حدثنا إسماعيل، عن الجريري، عن أبي الورد بن ثمامة، عن عمرو بن مرداس، قال: أتيت الشام أتية فإذا رجل غليظ الشفتين، أو قال: ضخم الشفتين، والأنف، إذا بين يديه سلاح، فسألوه وهو يقول: " يا أيها الناس، خذوا من هذا السلاح واستصلحوه، وجاهدوا به في سبيل الله " قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قلت: من هذا؟ قالوا: بلال
