Hadith 1115:21
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs, from Abu 'Abdullah, from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, who said: I was sitting with 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf, and Bilal passed by. He asked him about wiping over the leather socks (khuffayn). He said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would relieve himself, and I would bring him water. He would perform ablution and wipe over his turban and over his leather socks."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن أبي بكر بن حفص، عن أبي عبد الله، عن أبي عبد الرحمن، قال: كنت قاعدا مع عبد الرحمن بن عوف، فمر بلال، فسأله عن المسح على الخفين، فقال: " كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقضي حاجته، فآتيه بالماء، فيتوضأ، ويمسح على العمامة، وعلى الخفين "
