Hadith 1115:7
Yahya ibn Adam and Abu Ahmad narrated to us, they said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abdullah ibn Ma'qil al-Muzani, from Bilal, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to inform him of the prayer—Abu Ahmad said: And he was intending to fast—so he called for a cup, drank, and gave me to drink. Then he went out to the mosque for the prayer, and he stood to pray without performing ablution, intending to fast.
حدثنا يحيى بن آدم، وأبو أحمد، قالا: حدثنا إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن عبد الله بن معقل المزني، عن بلال، قال: أتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أوذنه بالصلاة - قال أبو أحمد: وهو يريد الصيام - " فدعا بقدح فشرب وسقاني، ثم خرج إلى المسجد للصلاة، فقام يصلي بغير وضوء يريد الصوم "
