Bishr ibn Suhaym reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood among the people at Mina and said, "Do you know what day this is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is the Day of Sacrifice." He said, "Do you know what city this is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is the Sacred City (Makkah). Do you know what month this is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is the Sacred Month." He said, "Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, like the sacredness of this day of yours, in this city of yours, in this month of yours. Have I conveyed the message?" They said, "Yes." He said, "O Allah, bear witness."
