Musnad Ahmad 1017:109

Abdullah ibn al-Walid and Mu’ammal narrated to us, they said: Sufyan narrated to us, Alqamah ibn Marthad narrated to us, from Sulayman ibn Buraydah, from his father, that a Bedouin said in the mosque: "Who has called for the red camel after the dawn?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "May you not find it, may you not find it, may you not find it. These houses—and Mu’ammal said: these mosques—were only built for what they were built for."
