Hadith of Buraydah al-Aslami (RA)
Hadith 1017:12
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Qatadah, from 'Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not take omens from anything. However, when he wanted to go to a land, he would ask about its name. If it was good, joy would be seen on his face, and if it was ugly, that would be seen on his face. And when he sent a man, he would ask about his name. If it was a good name, joy would be seen on his face, and if it was ugly, that would be seen on his face.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
