Musnad Ahmad 1017:36

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Al-A’mash informed us, from Abu Dawud, from Buraydah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Whoever grants respite to one in hardship, for him is a charity for every day. And whoever grants him respite after it has become due, for him is the like of it in charity for every day."
