Musnad Ahmad 1017:57

Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Abu Rabi'ah, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to Ali: "O Ali, do not follow a glance with another glance, for you have the first one, but you do not have the other."
