Musnad Ahmad 1017:9

Al-Aswad ibn ‘Amir narrated to us, Abu Isra’il informed us, from Harith ibn Husayrah, from Ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: He entered upon Mu’awiyah, and there was a man speaking. Buraydah said: "O Mu’awiyah, will you permit me to speak?" He replied: "Yes," thinking that he would speak just as the other man had spoken. Buraydah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'I truly hope to intercede on the Day of Resurrection for the number of trees and clods of earth that are upon the earth.'" He said: "Do you hope for it, O Mu’awiyah, while ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib does not hope for it?"
