Musnad Ahmad 872:1

'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Asim al-Ahwal, from Abu Tamimah, from the one who rode behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)—or from a man, from the one who rode behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)—that he was upon a donkey and it stumbled. The one who was behind him said: "May Satan perish." He (the Prophet) said: "Do not say: 'May Satan perish,' for if you say: 'May Satan perish,' he grows in greatness and says: 'By my might, I have brought you down.' But if you say: 'In the name of Allah (Bismillah),' he shrinks until he becomes like a fly."
