Musnad Ahmad 434:4
Hadith of Dhu Mikhbar al-Habashi (RA), who was among the companions of the Messenger of Allah (SAW). It is said that he was the nephew of the Negus, and it is also said: Dhu Mikhmar.
حديث ذي مخبر الحبشي (1) ، وكان من أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ويقال: إنه ابن أخي النجاشي، ويقال: ذي مخمر
Hadith 434:4
'Abd al-Quddus Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, he said: Hariz, meaning Ibn 'Uthman al-Rahbi, narrated to us, he said: Rashid ibn Sa'd al-Maqra'i narrated to us, from Abu Hayy, from Dhu Mikhmar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This matter was among Himyar, then Allah the Almighty and Majestic stripped it from them and placed it in Quraysh, and it will return to them." And it was like this in my father's book, broken up, and when he narrated it to us, he spoke it with continuity.
حدثنا عبد القدوس أبو المغيرة، قال: حدثنا حريز يعني ابن عثمان الرحبي، قال: حدثنا راشد بن سعد المقرائي، عن أبي حي، عن ذي مخمر، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " كان هذا الأمر في حمير، فنزعه الله عز وجل منهم، فجعله في قريش " وس ي ع ود إ ل ي ه م " ، وكذا كان في كتاب أبي مقطعا، وحيث حدثنا به تكلم على الاستواء "
