Hadith 743:1
Surayj ibn al-Nu‘man narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Dawud ibn Abi Hind informed us, he said: Abu Harb ibn Abi al-Aswad narrated to me, from Fadalah al-Laythi, who said: I came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I accepted Islam. He taught me until he taught me the five prayers at their appointed times. He said: So I said to him, "These are hours in which I am occupied, so command me with the comprehensive ones." He said to me: "If you are occupied, then do not be occupied away from the two 'Asrs." I said: "And what are the two 'Asrs?" He said: "The morning prayer and the afternoon prayer."
حدثنا سريج بن النعمان، حدثنا هشيم، قال: أخبرنا داود بن أبي هند قال: حدثني أبو حرب بن أبي الأسود، عن فضالة الليثي قال: أتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فأسلمت، وعلمني حتى علمني الصلوات الخمس لمواقيتهن قال: فقلت له: إن هذه لساعات أشغل فيها، فمرني بجوامع، فقال لي : " إن شغلت فلا تشغل عن العصرين " قلت: وما العصران؟ قال: " صلاة الغداة، وصلاة العصر " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
