Hadith 984:1
Mu'awiyah ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu 'Amr al-Shaybani, who said: Ra'iyah al-Suhaymi came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "My child and my wealth were raided." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "As for the wealth, it has already been divided. As for the child, go with him, O Bilal; if he recognizes his child, then hand him over to him." He said: So he went with him, and he showed him to him. He said: "Do you recognize him?" He said: "Yes." So he handed him over, and he went away with him. Sufyan said: They believe that he had accepted Islam before he was raided.
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو، حدثنا أبو إسحاق، عن سفيان، عن أبي إسحاق، عن أبي عمرو الشيباني قال: جاء رعية السحيمي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: أغير على ولدي ومالي، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أما المال فقد اقتسم، وأما الولد فاذهب معه يا بلال فإن عرف ولده فادفعه إليه " قال: فذهب معه فأراه إياه فقال: تعرفه؟ قال: نعم. فدفعه فذهب إليه. قال سفيان: يرون أنه أسلم قبل أن يغار عليه
