Hadith of Hafsa (RA), the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
حديث حفصة أم المؤمنين بنت عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنهما
Hadith 1155:12
Hisham ibn Sa'id—meaning al-Taliqani—narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Sallam narrated to us, he said: I heard Yahya—meaning ibn Abi Kathir—narrate, Nafi' narrated to us, that Ibn 'Umar informed him that Hafsah informed him: "That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray two light rak'ahs between the call (adhan) and the iqamah of the morning prayer."
حدثنا هشام بن سعيد يعني الطالقاني ، حدثنا معاوية بن سلام، قال: سمعت يحيى يعني ابن أبي كثير، حدثنا نافع، أن ابن عمر، أخبره أن حفصة أخبرته " أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يصلي ركعتين خفيفتين، بين النداء والإقامة، من صلاة الصبح "
