Hadith of Hafsa (RA), the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
حديث حفصة أم المؤمنين بنت عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنهما
Hadith 1155:27
Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Abu Bakr ibn Sulayman, from Hafsa, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon her while there was a woman with her called al-Shifa’, who was performing ruqyah (incantation) for the *namlah* (skin lesions/eczema). The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Teach it to Hafsa."
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا سفيان، عن محمد بن المنكدر، عن أبي بكر بن سليمان، عن حفصة، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها وعندها امرأة، يقال لها شفاء، ترقي من النملة، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " علميها حفصة " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
