Hadith of Hafsa (RA), the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
Hadith 1155:3
Surayj, ‘Affan, and Yunus narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ayyub and ‘Ubayd Allah, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, that he saw Ibn Sa’id in one of the streets of Medina. Ibn ‘Umar reviled him and spoke against him, so he (Ibn Sa’id) swelled up until he blocked the road. Ibn ‘Umar struck him with a stick he had with him until he broke it upon him. Hafsah said to him: "What is the matter with you and him? Why do you provoke him? Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'The Dajjal will only emerge because of an anger that he becomes angry with'?" ‘Affan said: "At an anger that he becomes angry with." And Yunus said in his narration: "What is your provocation of him?"
