Hadith of Hafsa (RA), the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
حديث حفصة أم المؤمنين بنت عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنهما
Hadith 1155:5
'Abd al-Wahhab al-Khaffaf narrated to us, from Ibn 'Awn, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: I met Ibn Sa'id twice. He mentioned the hadith, except that he said: So I entered upon Hafsa, the Mother of the Believers, and informed her. She said: What did you intend by going to him? Do you not know that he [the Prophet] said: "Indeed, the beginning of his emergence upon the people will be an anger that he becomes angry with"?
حدثنا عبد الوهاب الخفاف، عن ابن عون، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، قال: لقيت ابن صائد مرتين، فذكر الحديث، إلا أنه قال: فدخلت على حفصة أم المؤمنين، فأخبرتها، قالت: ما أردت إليه؟ أما علمت أنه قال: " إن أول خروجه على الناس غضبة يغضبها؟ "
