Hadith of Hafsa (RA), the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
Hadith 1155:6
'Abd al-Wahhab al-Khaffaf narrated to us, from Ibn 'Awn, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: I met Ibn Sa'id twice. As for one time, I met him while his companions were with him. He mentioned the hadith and said: He snorted like the most intense snorting of a donkey that I have ever heard. He said: Some of my companions claimed that I struck him with a stick that was with me until it broke, but as for me, I did not perceive that. I then entered upon my sister, Hafsa, the Mother of the Believers, and informed her of that. She said: "What did you intend by that? Do you not know that he [the Prophet] said: 'Indeed, his first emergence upon the people will be due to an anger that he becomes angry with'?"
