Hadith of Hafsa (RA), the Mother of the Believers, daughter of Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)
Hadith 1155:7
I read to Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: Malik, from Nafi, from Abdullah ibn Umar, that Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, informed him: "That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when the caller to prayer (mu'adhdhin) fell silent for the dawn (subh) prayer, and the dawn had appeared, he would pray two light rak'ahs before the prayer was established."
