Musnad Ahmad 125:3

It was read to Sufyan: I heard Hisham, from his father, from Hakim ibn Hizam, who said: "I emancipated forty slaves during the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You have embraced Islam along with the good that you have already performed."
