Musnad Ahmad 125:5

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, he said: I heard Musa ibn Talhah, that Hakim ibn Hizam narrated to him, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The best charity—or the most excellent charity—is that which leaves behind sufficiency. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand. And begin with those whom you support."
